At Veri, we help people improve their metabolic health by helping users understand what to eat. With the Veri mobile app, users scan a wearable glucose sensor to get actionable insights and recommendations on nutrition and their lifestyle habits.

Role

Veri is looking for a Senior/Lead Data Scientist to join our team of +35 people. You'll be involved in turning data from thousands of users to insights on product.

Data and the interpretation of it is a lifeline, the red thread, for all the things we do at Veri. You can expect to be working closely with most of the areas in the company. Some of the responsibilities you will be sharing with the existing data science team and our product lead:

• Taking ownership of data science products exploration, experimentation, and delivery
• Working closely with product team and health advisors to convert business goals into data science tasks, and products
• Contribute to our data science processes, shaping up our data strategy, and working closely with our larger product team in defining the future of Veri product
• Mentoring team members and growing the data science team

What do we expect?

• You are excited about helping people live a metabolically healthy life — you don't need to know everything about metabolic health, but should be excited to learn more
• You have experience with end to end data science product delivery in a diverse team of programmers, designers, and product managers, etc
• You are comfortable with analytical and quantitative problem solving using advanced statistical techniques, machine learning methods, programming with python, and SQL
• You are able to communicate, and scope business ideas into data science tasks/projects
• You have 3+ years of experience working in a similar role
• You are solution oriented and possess a can-do mindset
• You enjoy mentoring and motivating your team members
